A stroke is brain damage caused by a blocked or bleeding artery in the brain. The American Stroke Association estimates that nearly 800,000 people will suffer a new or recurrent stroke this year.
We received the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Award, and they are the only hospital in the state to be recognized as a recipient of the association’s Target: Stroke Honor Roll. Both awards demonstrate the ability of the Saint Elizabeth team to be ready at any time to treat stroke patients as quickly as possible.
Best outcomes We provide rapid response in diagnosing and treating stroke patients. Our highly-specialized team of stroke experts collaborate at all stages of treatment using the most advanced research and technology.
Multidisciplinary team The director of the Stoke Center is James Bobenhouse, MD, a board certified neurologist. For more information, contact our Saint Elizabeth Stroke Center coordinator at 402-219-7563.
