What To Expect

 

“We have really tied everything together for our patients,” says Brenda Stutzman, RN - Director, Orthopaedics/Neurosurgery/Joint Center. “We start with offering education before the surgery or procedure even takes place. This helps people get comfortable with their specific situation and know what to expect. They get all their questions answered and even get answers to questions they didn’t think of because we do this in a group setting.”

She explains that everyone in the classes gets to see and hold a model of the spinal column. Our patients are responding favorably. Brenda says the education puts them so much more at ease with the idea of their surgery or procedure and they really understand they are not going to be the only ones having this type of surgery. It’s very comforting and reassuring.
