Review "Advanced Directives"

The law requires that everyone being admitted to a medical facility have the opportunity to have an advanced directive. An advanced directive says what kinds of care you would want or not want if you could not make decisions for yourself. Although you are not required to do so, you may make any advanced directives you desire in the form of a living will or a Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare. If you have an advanced directives, please bring copies to the hospital on the day of your surgery.
