Here are some tips to evaluate your own sleep:

  1. Keep a diary of when you sleep and how much you sleep.

  2. Write down those things that you think might be causing the sleep problems.

  3. Assess if you have been experiencing problems during the day such as excessive sleepiness, being irritable, having problems with memory or concentration.

  4. Think about how this affects your wake time activities.

  5. Talk to your doctor if you feel you may have a problem with your sleep.
