- Saint Elizabeth has wrapped a StarTran bus wrapped in pink. Breast cancer survivors are invited to sign their name or anyone can sign in honor of a loved one.
- We hope the signatures serve as an important reminder that we need to continue to fight against breast cancer. And, we hope it opens the door for conversations about the significance of doing breast self-exams, annual mammograms and preventive care.
- For the remainder of October, the east side of Saint Elizabeth will be lit in pink every night. Much like the bus, this serves as an important reminder that we need to continue to fight against this disease and, hopefully, the hospital in pink inspires all that are impacted by the disease.
- Fighting breast cancer is a team effort involving many heroes. The patients, doctors and nurses behind the scenes and the friends and family that offer support are all heroes. At the Saint Elizabeth Breast Cancer Center, we want to hear about your hero. Share your story to honor your hero and for the chance to win a $100 gift card from Scooter’s Coffee & Yogurt. Submit your story at www.toasttoheroes.com. Enter before November 1, 2013 for a chance to win.
