Campus
Private patient rooms, birthing suites with whirlpool spas,
state-of-the-art operating rooms, space for more specialty physician
practices on campus, the state’s only digital imaging center and
additional beds to serve more patients.
Patients benefit in many ways from the Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical
Center recent $110-million expansion project. Advanced technology
increases treatment options and improves outcomes. Additionally, the
expansion’s innovative design creates a welcoming and relaxing healing
environment conducive to rest and private visits.
The expansion project added three new structures: a free public parking
garage, a four-story medical plaza and a six-story patient tower. These
new buildings have tripled the size of the campus and make the
following improvements possible:
- All-private patient rooms
- Fifteen spacious new operating suites with digital flat-screen monitors for precision
surgery
- A 27-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) among the nation’s first to offer
private rooms for critically ill infants
- Beautification of the environment including colored glass window
panels that symbolize spirituality and rich religious roots and artwork
from Nebraska artists, who embrace the state’s unique landscape,
wildlife and spirit of its people
- New meditation room named for Sister Barbara Ann Braun
- Serene outdoor walking area with lakeside views that provides a perfect place
to reflect and commune with nature
