Southeast Nebraska Mobile Diagnostic Service
Southeast Nebraska Mobile Diagnostic Services Inc., (SENMDS) provides valuable services to the rural hospitals by providing the services of ultrasound, mammography and cardiovascular.
The term mobile refers to mobile technologists who travel to each site to perform their designated services. Each facility either has units purchased by SENMDS or has purchased their own units.
Mobile mammography currently employs six mammography technologists and services approximately twelve sites on a routine basis.
Mobile ultrasound currently employs seven technologists. These technologists service approximately eighteen sites on a routine basis. To keep up with the latest technology, SENMDS recently purchased five new Philips ultrasound units.
The cardiovascular service line began in January 2008 and employs four dual trained technologists that service twelve sites. Each cardiovascular technologist is trained on the GE Vivid 1 portable unit.
SENMDS continues to grow, it serves southeast Nebraska from Falls City to Franklin to St. Paul to Wahoo. It also serves two northeast Kansas communities.
