Sensory Testing

Sensory Testing is done similarly to the others. After numbing your nose a shorter endoscope is passed through the nose and down the back of the throat. A small, short puff of air will be blown onto a strategic spot in the esophagus. An undamaged esophagus will reflexively move. A damaged esophagus will not react at all.
