Dr. Nissen graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he completed his residency training. Prior to coming to Lincoln he was at the California Ear Institute for 13 years and at the University of Louisville in Kentucky for seven years where he co-founded the Heuser Hearing Institute and was Director of Otology/Neurotology. Dr. Nissen enjoys working with patients of all ages but especially children because improving their hearing not only improves their lifestyle but their parents as well. Dr. Nissen was a former professional basketball player and remains an avid sports fan.
