The most common assistive listening device is an amplified telephone. Personal listening devices are available in many churches and in all theaters. These devices take the sound and deliver it directly to your ears using headphones. There are special alarm clocks that shake the bed or flash a light. There are even smoke alarms that flash lights. Some people use special headsets for listening to television.
