tricyclic antidepressants
Common Tricyclic medications include: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Desipramine HC1 (Norpramin), Doxepin (Sinequan), Imipramine HC1 (Trofranil), Nortriptyline HC1 (Pamelor)

Intradermal Testing

 

The IDT can take from 2 ½ hours to 3 ½ hours. The IDT is more precise than the MQT. The testing involves injecting a small amount of diluted allergen under the top layer of the skin on your arms. The patient will be receiving a variety of different concentrated dilutions from 38 allergens. An average of 210 injections are given.
