A cherished tradition here at Saint Elizabeth, Lights of Love invites you to honor or memorialize a special person, while, at the same time, helping to create a healing, caring environment at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. When you make a donation to Lights of Love, we will place the name of your loved one or dear friend on a Tree of Life at Saint Elizabeth.

This year, your gift to Lights of Love will help us refurbish a very special place at Elizabeth. It is so special that we believe it is the heart and soul of our healing environment - The Chapel.

The present Saint Elizabeth Chapel has not been updated since it was built nearly 40 years ago. A few improvements were added over the years, such as stained glass windows that were donated by a Catholic Church in Omaha. But, with thousands of visitors over the past 40 years, it is time for rejuvenation.

Of the $300,000 that our architects estimate is needed for renovation, nearly $200,000 has already been donated. Won't you help us complete the project?

• People of all faiths find daily solace at the Chapel through prayer, worship and meditation.


• Many associates visit to pray before their shifts begin, and families use it throughout the day as a respite from their watch over loved ones


• Mass is held daily and is telecast in each patient’s room upon request. Two worship services are held on Sunday mornings, offering a convenient opportunity for associates and physicians to worship with their families


• Memorial services are held at the Chapel 4 times per year for families who have lost loved ones


• This year, the chapel was the setting for a wedding when a patient wanted to see her daughter married, but was too ill leave the hospital

When you donate to Lights of Love in tribute to a family member or friend, your loved one’s name will be placed on a star and hung on Saint Elizabeth’s Tree of Life.
